We have received notice from The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) in regards to Sample Requirements and Family Approval.
Regarding Family Approval, only few devices are subject to this family approval while requirements remains the same; devices must come in series/family and they must share same test reports and Declaration of Conformity.
The Commission would normally consider the following equipment for family/series:
- Microwave radios
- Servers
- Smart TVs
- Enterprise Switches, Routers and Gateway Equipment
Please note, the Commission will consider other types of equipment not listed above for family/series.
For Sample Requirements, please note that commercial grade sample of equipment is required for:
- Notebooks
- Tablets
- Mobile phones
- Mouse and keyboards
- Smart watches
- WiFi Modems
- BT Speakers
- Digital cameras with WLAN/Wired Interface
- Printers
A sample of other devices may be requested as well if and when necessary and all samples are retained by the Commission.
