Paraguay’s National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) has officially opened the 5.925–6.425 MHz band for Low-Power Wireless Access Systems, paving the way for Wi-Fi 6E deployment under Resolución Directorio N° 1035/2025.
This move aligns Paraguay with global trends expanding next-generation connectivity through the 6 GHz band, enabling faster, more reliable wireless performance with reduced interference.
What’s New?
The newly approved spectrum supports Wi-Fi 6E devices that operate in:

Low Power Indoor (LPI) mode

Very Low Power (VLP) mode for limited outdoor use
These devices can include:

Access points and routers for homes, offices, and enterprise environments

Client devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones equipped with Wi-Fi 6E

Compact outdoor units with VLP certification and sealed, water-resistant designs
Labeling & Certification Requirements
All Wi-Fi 6E and wireless access devices intended for use in Paraguay must:

Be type-approved by CONATEL

Include the following labeling or manual note: “In Paraguay, this equipment must be configured to operate with the limitations established in CONATEL Technical Standard NTC-RF-5925:2025.”
