The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), has recently announced they plan to extend the transition date for the adoption of the new SASO-IEC 62368-1:2020 (IEC 62368-1:2018 3.0 Ed.). The original implementation date was scheduled to be on July 1, 2021, however, SASO has now announced that the standard will take effect on January 1, 2023. Test reports as per SASO IEC 62368-1:2017 (IEC 62368-1:2014) will be accepted until December 30, 2022.
