As an update to our previous announcement concerning Saudi Arabia’s RoHS Regulations, SASO has now announced a postponement to the enforcement date. Originally scheduled to come into force on January 5, 2022, SASO has informed the Regulation will be implemented in the following stages:
- Small Home Electrical Appliances – July 4, 2022
- Large Home Electrical Appliances – October 2, 2022
- Telecommunication and Information Technology Equipment – December 31, 2022
- Lighting Equipment – March 31, 2023
- Electrical and Electronic Tools and Equipment – June 29, 2023
- Toys, Entertainment Devices, and Sports Equipment – September 27, 2023
- Monitoring and Control Tools – December 26, 2023
