The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), has recently updated the scope of products that will require a SASO IECEE/IECEX Recognition Certificate.
The following products will be mandatory as of September 1, 2021:
- Coffee makers
- Water kettles
- Electric oil fryers
- Electrical cables
- Video game consoles and accessories
- All types of electric pumps providing five horsepower or less
The following products become mandatory as of November 1, 2021:
- Circuit breakers
- Mobile device charging cables
- Electric shavers
- Desktop computers (PCs)
- Junction box (Electrical Wire Intersection) with cable connection points
- Control box with cable connection points
- Gas detectors and sensors
- Gas detection systems
- Electrical plugs and other connecting devices
- Electric pumps
- Linear (Fixed) lighting
