The technical standard for short-range radio-communication devices (SRD) has been amended by Singapore’s Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA), effective September 2023.
The new changes include :
- Updated maximum field strengths over a number of frequency bands.
- Three new frequency bands are added.
- SRDs can now be registered under the Enhanced Simplified Equipment Registration (ESER) program if they meet the revised technical specifications.
The revised technical definition aims to promote the creation and use of new SRD technologies while ensuring that they live in peace with Singapore’s other radiocommunication services.
