The office of the NBTC in Thailand has established new requirements for the LTE Band 40 effective as of May 28, 2018. NBTC TS 1027-2560 uses the evolving UMTS terrestrial wireless access (E-UTRA) technology for international telecommunications (IMT) (technical standard of LTE equipment). For all WWAN/Cellular products additional LTE Band 40 tests reports are required. The tests reports should include Radio, SAR and EMF.
The changes come as a result of the network operator TOT gaining the necessary legal permissions to use the LTE Band 40.
