Thailand – New Standard and Notification for Short-Range Devices Using 5GHz |
The Office of The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand issued standard NBTC TS 1035-2562 for Radiocommunication equipment using frequency 2.4 GHz and/or 5 GHz and NBTC Notification for Short-Range Devices using the 5GHz band.
The standard replaces existing standard NTC TS 1012-2551 (Radio Local Area Network – RLAN) and does not affect products previously certified. Standard NBTC TS 1035-2562 took effect as of November 12, 2019.
Main changes:
- New standard specifies the version of EN test standard (e.g. EN 300 328 V2.1.1, EN 301 893 V2.1.1., EN 302 502 V2.1.1, ETSI TS 136104/ETSI TS 136101) v13.2.0
- Concerning the frequency 5.725-5.850GHz
- Accepts harmonised standard ETSI EN 302 502
- No longer accepts ETSI EN 300 440 (previously temporarily accepted). Test reports must be per ETSI EN 302 502, FCC 47 CFR 15.247, or FCC 47 CFR 15.407
- Allows LTE under private network or IMT, which follows LTE band 46 (opened previously). Both technologies are for 5 GHz
- Accepts IEC 62368-1 along with TIS1561-2556 or IEC 60950-1 for electrical safety
