On March 14, 2019, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand (NBTC) released an announcement updating NBTC standards for EMC and electrical safety, namely NBTC TS 3001-2561 (electromagnetic compatibility update standard) and NBTC TS 4001- 2561 (Electrical Safety Update Standard). The updates are effective as of March 15, 2019.

NBTC TS 3001 -2561
- Subject to additional requirements to comply on CISPR 22:2008 or CISPR 32:2015 on top of the original TIS1956-2553
NBTC TS 4001-2561
- Additional requirements to comply on IEC 60950-1 or IEC 62368-1 on top of the original TIS 1561-2556
- For telecommunication equipment that are not Information Technology equipment as per definition on TIS1561-2556, the NBTC may publish electrical safety requirement on case by case basis.
- All draft technical standards are being revised to including TS 4001-2561
