As a follow up to our November blog, the telecommunications authority in Turkey, BTK, has confirmed compliance to the RED directive and terminated the implementation of R&TTE approvals. The new Type Approval process will request RED compliance/CE Marking, Turkish User Manuals and the product label and samples to be prepared in regard to the Consumer Protection Law of Ministry of Trade.
According to the official letter, BTK also reminds about market surveillance and defines the relevant regulations regarding the penalties. In regard to this reminder of BTK, we would like to inform that manufacturers be prepared for the market surveillance with valid RED test reports and also with a Turkish User Manual to avoid any penalties.
