The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has announced a new Calling Name Presentation (CNAP) feature that is now a requirement for all mobile phones sold in UAE, both new and already on the market.
Please note that phones, even those already approved and operating in UAE will need to meet the new requirement. Registered dealers are required to update the software to ensure the devices are in compliance. For all new Type Approval applications, checks will be made during testing to assure the requirements are met.
